From Wolves to Adventure Gear
Decades of Canine Expertise Meet Innovative Adventure Gear.
Jennifer McCarthy isn't your average dog trainer.
With over 30 years of experience, she's trained protection dogs in Los Angeles, worked with A-list celebrities, and earned the name "Wolf Woman" for her groundbreaking work with wolves.
Her journey took her from studying captive wolves in Colorado to Yellowstone National Park, where she met with Doug Smith, longtime leader of the Yellowstone Wolf Project, and tracked wild wolf packs with Rick McIntyre, widely considered the most experienced wolf observer in the world.
Over the years, she was trusted to care for a family's wolf, wolf-dog, and Labrador on 40 acres of Colorado wilderness — hiking off-leash in the National Forest with them and her own two German Shepherds, observing pack dynamics firsthand.
She's one of the few people skilled enough to transport wolves and wolf-dogs without tranquilizers — a rare ability earned through years of hands-on work with wild canines.
Her expertise led to co-starring with Cesar Millan in the one-hour special Dog Whisperer: Wolf-Dogs – Out of the Wild, and she was positioned as the natural successor to lead the franchise's next chapter.
These experiences gave her an unmatched perspective on what gear must endure — and what dogs truly need to thrive in rugged environments.
Gear That Follows the Howl
After decades of training, testing, and trekking — from Hollywood to the Rockies — Jennifer created Wolf Woman Essentials: gear built for the trailblazing bond between human and dog.
Every product is field-tested in real adventures and designed from insights gathered over decades of working with canines in the wild and in the home.
"I've seen what works and what fails — whether in Yellowstone's wilderness or a celebrity's home. This gear is built for partnerships that last a lifetime."
Definitely Not Your Average Dog Trainer — and definitely not your average gear.
