Fresh-cooked or cold-pressed are ideal.

✔️ 2. Avoid extreme diets.

Strict raw or strict grain-free diets often cause more harm than good.

✔️ 3. Prioritize whole grains + quality protein.

Adventure dogs burn carbs — they need replenishment.

✔️ 4. Feed for the day’s activity level.

  • Pre-hike: carbs + lean protein

  • During hike: high-fat trail snacks

  • Post-hike: higher protein for recovery

✔️ 5. Use a clean, hygienic feeding system designed for whole foods.

Fresh food is amazing — but it’s also messy. That’s why your feeding gear matters.
